You’ll make it through

Life’s journey has both joys and sorrows.
After the dark days, comes bright tomorrows.
None of us passes through without some scars.
Through the pain, God causes us to shine like stars.
Trust in him for he cares for you.
Have faith, you’ll make it through.

Perhaps you’ve had bumps along the way.
Have faith to meet the challenges of each day.
Grow strong through the struggles you face.
Rely upon God’s never ending grace.
Trust in him for he cares for you.
Have faith, you’ll make it through.

Maybe you’ve doubted God in times of strife,
And you’ve how he’s working in your life.
Remember that you are in the palm of his hand.
He’ll give you the courage to endure and stand.
Trust in him for he cares for you.
Have faith, you’ll make it through.

Press on, over every mountain and hill.
Through prayer, always seek God’s will.
When you’re depressed and feel alone,
Remember that God cares for his own.
God declares; “I will take care of you.
Have no fear. I shall bring you through.”

I CRY TO THE LORD (Psalm 142)

I cry to the Lord in despair.
Lord, hear my plea.
My soul is burdened with care
I need your grace and mercy.

Savior, I suffer in pain.
Burdened with sorrow and sin.
I call daily upon your name.
Come and restore me again.

Struggles overwhelm me.
The devil lays out his snare.
I turn to you for mercy.
And place myself in your care.

Jesus, grant peace to my soul.
Be my hope in times of distress.
Touch me and make me whole.
Forever, your name I shall bless.

The Lord has heard my plea.
I will rejoice and sing.
Praise him for his mercy.
All praise to my King.

Praise Jesus for his love for me.
He has made me his own.
I’ll will see him in eternity.
There, I’ll bow before his throne.

JESUS, SHIELD OF PEACE

Jesus, shield of peace, emfold me.
In your strong arms, always hold me.
Guide my feet along life’s way.
Be my strength for each day.

Jesus, may your presence surround me.
Give peace so troubles will not confound me.
When storms of trouble arise, be not far away.
Always be my everlasting hope and stay.

Jesus, shield of peace, fountain of grace.
Grant me endurance for the earthly race.
As I live, my songs of praise shall not cease.
When I die, I’ll be with you in the land of eternal peace.

The best of all, God is with us

When there is pain and sorrow.
God guides today and tomorrow.
Always have faith and trust.
The best of all, God is with us.

Troubles distress us.
God will strengthen and bless us.
Hold on with faith and trust.
The best of all, God is with us.

God renews us by grace.
Giving endurance for the race.
Press on with faith and trust.
The best of all, God is with us.

God saves us from sin.
Remember how good he’s been.
Live always with faith and trust.
The best of all, God is with us.

BEHOLD, THE GLORIOUS COMPANY OF HEAVEN

Behold the glorious company of heaven, gathered around Christ the King.
Listen to the joyful songs of praises they sing.
Saints, Martyrs, and Prophets in one voice, bless his Name.
The Church on earth, his glad tidings proclaim.
See the company of the Redeemed wearing robes of white.
Robes washed in the blood of the Lamb and made dazzling bright.
The everlasting songs of heaven and earth are raised.
In the divine liturgy in heaven and on earth, Jesus Christ is praised.
The Church bows before the Lord in humble adoration.
Worshiping with thanks and praise, the God of salvation

THE SIXTH STATION OF THE CROSS-VERONICA WIPES THE FACE OF JESUS

THE SIXTH STATION

Veronica wipes the face of Jesus

Jesus continued his way to Cavalry in great pain and suffering. There was a woman named
Veronica who saw his suffering and his bloody face. She was moved with compassion, taking a cloth, she wiped the blood from his face. On the cloth, there was the image of the holy face of Jesus. When we see others in need of comfort, may we be moved with compassion and mercy and offer them comfort. May the image of Jesus always be imprinted on our hearts.

Jesus’ body ached and his face was covered with the sweat of death.
He labored on and he was weak and almost out of breath.
A woman filled with compassion took a cloth and wiped his face.
The sacred image that remained on the cloth was the Savior’s face.

Jesus, may you show compassion in our times of suffering and pain.
We look to you for mercy, and in faith, we call on your name.
Kindle on our minds the image of your most holy face.
Renew and transform us by the power of your wonderful grace.

Jesus, compassionate Veronica wiped the blood from your face.
The cloth that she used bore the image of your holy face.
Wipe the stain of sin from me.
Imprint your image on my heart, and by grace, set me free.

The Christian Journey

thejourneywidget

We’re blessed in the journey. God strengthens us along the way.
Through all adversity, God blesses us each day.
Let us hold on to faith in God and embrace his abiding love.
Thank God for his goodness and for the blessings from above.

We press on with faith, singing the songs of praise.
Blessing our God and proclaiming him all of our days.
In the journey we press on. In faith and not grumbling.
God guides us and keeps our feet from stumbling.

God transforms and renews us. We no longer the same.
All honor be given to his most holy name.
He has blessed us! God sent his Son to save us from sin.
The blood of Jesus washes us and makes us whole again,

In the mighty name of Jesus! We press on in victory.
Praise be to Jesus! Beloved, give him all the glory.
We press on under the banner of the Holy Cross.
Under his protection, we’ll suffer neither pain or loss.

Holy Spirit, set our souls on fire like a burning flame.
Use us to declare to the world Jesus’ holy name.
Strengthen us in the journey so we’ll not grow weary.
Brighten the path when the days are dark and dreary.

Press on in the journey! Do not be discouraged by setbacks or sorrow.
God gives hope for today and grants us a bright tomorrow.
When the path is hard and the days are long
God touches us with his hand and makes us strong.

Blessed in the journey! Let us never forget God’s grace.
The path will be illuminated by the light from Christ’s holy face.
We are traveling through this world to a place of sweet rest.
Press on in the journey! Onward to the heavenly City of the Blessed.
